TEL Grants NxEdge License to Use Patented Spray Technology

SEATTLE--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dec. 5, 2005--NxEdge, Inc., a privately-held company located in Boise, Idaho, specializing in advanced engineered coatings, precision manufacturing and revitalization, today announced a non-exclusive patent license agreement with Tokyo Electron Limited (TEL), a technology leader in semiconductor equipment manufacturing. Under the agreement, TEL grants NxEdge license to use its patented Y203 ("yttria") coating technology for semiconductor customers in the United States and Europe.

This high demand ceramic coating, which extends chamber life and minimizes particulates, is widely accepted throughout the industry as a key advancement in process chamber technology. The ability of yttria to simultaneously reduce cost of ownership while improving device yields provides a significant competitive advantage for critical process applications. NxEdge's established position with key semiconductor customers in North America and Europe provides additional growth opportunities for TEL's yttria technology.
